Hash Browns with Thick Cut Ham
(Serves 4)


Ingredients:

4 Largish potatoes, Peeled
1 Medium Onion ,Peeled
2 ½ Tablespoons flour
2 Tablespoons Sage leaves
4 Tablespoons Oil
1 Egg
8 Slices of thick cut ham


Method:

1. Coarsely grate the potatoes and onion then place in a dry cloth and squeeze out the  excess liquid.
2. Mix with the flour and  beaten egg then season to taste
3. Evenly mix  in the sage.
4. Divide into 6 or 8 balls then flatten slightly.
5. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook for 5 mins each side.
6. The place on a baking sheet and put into a pre-heated oven at 200C for 5-10 mins.
7. Serve with thick cut ham and grilled tomatoes for a light meal
