2007 Le Faite, Saint Mont, Plaimont, France

from Adnams (White Wine) 2. April 2010 23:46

2007 Le Faite Blanc, Producteurs Plaimont, Cotes de St Mont"Looking more like a medieval magic potion than a bottle of wine, Le Faite, is not for the faint-hearted. This quirky and original Gascon is made from a curious mix of the gros manseng grape, topped up by a good splash each of arrufiac and petit courbu and oozes exotic, smouldering, smoky, verdant, summer aperitif spice. One of the few VDQS wines left in France that is en route to full appellation status."
