A juicy Malbec with plum and spicy flavours. It was made by Hervé and Diane Joyaux Fabre in Mendoza, using fruit from 15 year old vines. The vineyards were planted at an altitude of 1200m, which brings cooler temperatures to ensure freshness. The wine was left un-oaked.
...Malbec is Argentinas best grape. This mouthwatering inky plum of a red proves it."Recommended by Jane Macquitty, The Times "...A good standard spicy red from Marks & Spencer is the 2009 Vinalta Malbec, from Argentina. This is a powerful red and ideal for roast meats. Malbec can be overpowering but this stays the right side of the line and you will love it."Recommended by Brian Moore, The Sun "...Under £8: Punches well above its weight with ripe blackberry fruit and a touch of spice. Serve with: A rare steak is ideal, or home-made burgers if you're budgeting."Recommended by Susy Atkins, Delicious Magazine
"The very well-regarded French winemaker Hervé Joyaux Fabre is behind some of Argentina's most serious wines, and this is a very approachable introduction to his talents. Unoaked, it is abundantly fruity, with notes of violets, plums and raspberries." David Williams The Observer
