A full-bodied but well rounded red with flavours of ripe damson and black pepper. Winemaker, Daniel Pi, carefully balances juicy fruit and spicy oak characters. This scrumptious version was grown at high altitude in the shadow of the Andes, which gives the wine an enticing smoothness and scented floral character.
Enjoy this wine young while its delicious fresh fruit character is vibrant and juicy. Succulent sirloin steak would be the classic match; sausages and mash or shepherd's pie would also work brilliantly well. Serve at room temperature.
''...This pulls off the trick of being rich and fairly fullbodied, yet rounded and smooth. Its chunky damson fruit is good paired with red meat''Recommended by Suzy Atkins, Sunday Telegraph
