"Part of a new premium range from McGuigan and this one’s a real belter. It’s a six-year-old dry riesling made from 40-year-old vines and, my goodness, you can smell the bottle-age in the thickly kerosene nose – imagine standing at a classic car meet with the motors ticking over, and a slice of lime rind in your hand and you get the idea. Big-boned, ambitious and impressive."
